The Faculty of Science and Technology
Welcome to the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of the Faroe Islands. The Faculty was founded in 1972 with the purpose to carry out scientific research and provide higher education in natural sciences and technology.
The funds are mainly public. External funding of research projects has, however, become more essential in later years.
The Faculty emphasize co-operation with other universities and research institutions. This concerns research projects and evaluation of educational programmes.
New B.Sc. programmes in 2008
Three new B.Sc. programmes were launched in September 2008. They are:
