Traditional Oral Literature - Selected Subjects

The course is designed for those who have completed the foundation course in oral literature. In partial consultation with the students, selected subjects will be studied from a variety of interdisciplinary perspectives, e.g., culturally, artistically, chorologically, as well as through a review of the relevant variants. At the examination, the student shall discuss and analyze a text or a subject from several perspectives, present an independent evaluation of the usage and viewpoint of the text and the reasons underpinning the student’s conclusions. Reading List The reading list shall encompass the materials read during the course.

Instruction takes place two hours per week over one term. Instruction will be comprised of lectures and student presentations.

Write a paper on an assigned topic.
