Prerequisites
Students must have completed the required core components of the BA in Faroese or other equivalent preconditions. This course can also be taken as an individual course with other prerequisites (please refer to the academic programme in force).
Purpose
The student will acquire knowledge about newer and older research results in Faroese syntax.
Content
We will read chapter 5 in Faroese. An Overview and Reference grammar (2004; 2012). The students will furthermore read different recent and older articles about topics in Faroese syntax, and we will read parts of Føroysk mállæra II. Syntaks (manuscript).
Learning and teaching approaches
Lecture, presentations, group-work, discussions.
Learning outcomes
• The students shall be able to work critical with the distributed material • and understand it. • S/he shall be able to use the material in his/her further work with Faroese.
Assessment method
Written examination, 6 hours.
