• What is language • Literacy, language aquisition and language development • The interconnection between language and identity • Bi- or multilingualism • Language contact • Narrativety • Language as a conection tool adjusted to situations and circumstances • Grammar, spelling and punctuation • Writing
Learning and teaching approaches
Shifting between lectures, dialogue lessons, student presentations, written exercises, both in groups and individually
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: • explain basic theories about language as a communitication tool and as identity, cultural and knowledge promotion and combine these with pedagogical work. • demonstrate suitable language and communittication skills in various genres and contexts • explain what distinguishes work of art and narrative art and combine it with the individual culture and identity development • explain what happens in a language resistance • Show insight in theories about bilingualism
