Purpose
The aim of the course is to provide the student with fundamental knowledge about Psychology of Social Education that is relevant to the pedagogical work with different groups of people. The students get knowledge about how people learn and develop, and how learning and developing can strengthen and motivate in the pedagogical work.
Content
• Describe how psychology of social education can be usend in the pedagogical work • Insight in to how people learn and develop according to various psychological theories. • Different views of humanity that caracterize the different theories • • Psychology in an individual and social perspective • Gender and gender equality in daycare practice. • Ethics, as a foundation in the pedagogical psycology.
Learning and teaching approaches
Lectures, group work, working with cases, independent assignments, oral presentations, selt study. Sharing knowledge through written and oral presentations.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student should be able to: • Explain the psychological theories that have been presented in the course. • Assess which views of humanity are the foundation of the different theories and which implications it has for the pedagogical work. • Describe the human needs as individuals and as a part of a community. • Assess different gender problems and the importance of gender equality in daycare practice. • Reflect on ethical dilemmas in pedagogical practice.
