Prerequisites
The condition for taking the course, is that the student is enrolled in the pedagoguge education.
Purpose
The purpose with the course is for the students to get fundametal professional knowledge in, and theretical foundation about how children are made active and participating in the daycare institutions, and which effect pedagogues have on this. The students must also acquire knowledge about what can effect a childs participation, both individually and in groups, and what impact relations and framework can have on this.

Lectures, groupwork, presentations, discussions, self study and evaluation.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: • Describe and assess how children can get active and participate in daycare institutions and what effect the pedagogue can have on this. • Explain how children can be included in the community in daycare institutions. • Explain and analyze pedagogical concepts and theory that are relevant to gender and equality. • Explain and assess the importance of good relations and relational compences • Explain and analyze how pedagogical work in daycare institutions is prepared, carried out and evaluated.
