Purpose
On the course the student will get knowledge about special pedagogical theory and special pedagogical research field, where significant and contemporary theories, concepts and methods are analyzed. The student will get insight into the special pedagogical field and which tasks the pedagoguge must do.
Content
• Historical perspective – specila pedagogic as a concept • Laws and basic rights • Normality and deviation • Diagnoses – inclusion as a concept • Ethics and power • Special pedagogical methods • Interdisciplinary work
Learning and teaching approaches
Lectures, groupwork, individual assignments, presentations, guidance and evaluation.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: • Explain what distinguishes specail pedagogic as abranch of science • Explain and interpret inclusion as a concept and the procesess and working methods that ar linked to the concept of inclusion. • Explain the significance of interdisciplinary work within the special pedagogical field • Critically analyze which significance power and ethics have in the work with exposed and vulnerable people. • Critically analyze the concepts of naormality and deviation, know how to explain how these concepts affect people with special needs and know how to intertwine theory and practice.
