Purpose
The purpose of the course is to teach the student to see the learning potential in theme work and other interdisciplinary teaching approaches. The course is aimed at 1st to 6th. grade.

The course is in 4 parts • The public school – Act and curricula • Interdisciplinary learning approaches • Theme work – teaching method and final product • Examples of concrete theme work

Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, students must be able to: • Explain what the act and the curriculum for the Public school say about interdisciplinary teaching • Explain what characterizes theme work as at teaching approach • Assess when theme work is a suitable working method in primary school • Show concrete examples of how theme teaching can be organised
