Purpose
To give the student knowledge to matemathical analysis and an introduction to linear algebra, with emphasis on the use in chemistry and biology.
Content
Differentiation, applications of differentiation. The indefinite and the definite integral. Logarithmic and exponential functions. Applications of integration. Differential and difference equations with applications from biology. Matrices.
Learning and teaching approaches
45 lectures (45 minutes each) and problem solving (2 weekly hours)
Assessment method
4 hours written examination with helping material. The 13-grade scale is used.
