Purpose
To provide the students with the basics of the morphology, anatomy, classification and phylogeny of important invertebrate groups, and provide a reasonable knowledge of taxonomy and identification.
Content
Classification and taxonomy of e.g. Protozoa, Porifera, Cnidaria. Platyhelmintes: Turbellaria, Trematoda, Cestoda. Nematoda. Annelida: Polyshaeta, Oligochaeta. Mollusca: Gastropoda, Bivalvia, Cephalopoda. Arthropoda: Insecta, Crustacea, Doploda, Arachnida. Other smaller phyla.

Assessment method
Four-hour written examination. No auxiliary material. The existing grade scale will be used.
