Purpose
To provide the students with basic knowledge of vascular plant structure and morphology and to provide the students with basic knowledge of the main principles of plant physiology.
Content
Plant cells and tissues. Root, stem, leaves, flowers and fruit. Secondary growth. Plant hormones. External factors and plant growth. Plant nutrition, essential elements, absorbtion and nutrient deficiency.The movement of water and solutes in plants. Plants and stress, stressphysiology. Photosynthesis and respiration- biochemical.
Learning and teaching approaches
Lectures and laboratory exercises.
Assessment method
Four-hour written examination. The existing grade scale will be used. No auxiliary material. Written assignment, which will be graded,will be count for 20% of final grade.
