Demonstrate knowledge and understanding about the chemistry of water and its importance for life 3. Demonstrate knowledge about biological macromolecules and lipids 4. Explain and understand the connection between energy and life 5. Demonstrate knowledge about cell structure and function 6. Demonstrate knowledge about cell membranes, cellular signaling and cell respiration 7. Explain and understand the photosynthetic processes 8. Demonstrate knowledge about mitosis 9. Understand and explain the sexual life cycles and meiosis 10. Solve problems regarding-, and demonstrate knowledge about Mendelian genetics 11. Demonstrate knowledge about linkage and chromosomes 12. Understand and explain about nucleic acids and inheritance 13. Demonstrate knowledge about expression of genes 14. Demonstrate knowledge about control of gene expression 15. Give a short description about DNA Technology 16. Understand and explain the evolution of genomes

Four-hour written examination. No auxiliary material.
