The purpose is to define and delimit a clinical topic in nursing practice relevant to the bachelor thesis research question

Teaching and learning are divided into one theory component and one clinical component. The contents of the theory component is: • Drawing on theory from nursing practice and social sciences as a foundation for the clinical nursing practice topic • Working with the topic linked to the bachelor thesis o Organise the search for clinical and research-based knowledge about the topic chosen by the student o Define a research question from the topic Workshop o Data collection for the thesis

Self-study, observation, workshop, plan and presentations.

Students who successfully complete the module can demonstrate ability to: • Wonder about research questions in nursing practice • Assess selected theories from nursing practice and social science • Explain the relevance of the chosen nursing practice research question • Explain the nursing practice research question in relation to society • Search for research-based knowledge in scholarly databases • Describe and justify the search terms used in the digital search • Assess clinical, developmental and research-based knowledge about the selected nursing practice research question
