Purpose
To give the student insight into ‘the project’ as a working method, to understand various project circumstances and knowledge about toolboxes within project management. The student must have knowledge, understanding and ability to participate in all aspects of project management, from preparation through execution and evaluation.
Content
- History of the Project - The Project Work Form - What is the objective of the project? - Who will use the results? - The Project Plan - Project organization - The Project Manager as Captain - Communication and adjustments - Leading the Team - Project Governance. Management of multiple projects

Learning outcomes

Assessment method
Two written exercises have to be submitted and approved prior to the exam. The exam is in two parts - The first part is an oral presentation on the subject that the student has randomly picked in the examination room. - The second part deals with random questions set by the teacher on various subjects covered in the course. The will be no extra preparation time after entering the examination room. Students that have obtained an approval on their submitted exercises will be enrolled for the oral examination of which the final grade will be based on the overall evaluation of the presentation and the theoretical knowledge. Students that fail the oral examination may be enrolled for a re-examination. Students that have not submitted and gotten approval for the home exercises will be given the grade -3/not passed. They may be enrolled for a re-examination upon approval of the home exercises.
