Purpose
Final assignment (project) on the Bachelor Degree Programme.
Content
A topic chosen by the student within the framework of the subject area: social science and planning. The topic must be approved by the supervisor and programme director.

Learning outcomes
The Bachelor Thesis demonstrates the student’s ability to: • argue a subject area, problem statement and thesis framework clearly and convincingly. • argue their choices of theories and methods for the project, as well as to set out a clear plan for organizing and completing the assignment. • use the chosen concepts, theories and methods to prepare their own project, which means demonstrating the ability to make qualified and critical choices of theory and method(s) in relation to the problem statement and thesis. • gather and critically approach academic literature and empirical material relevant to the problem statement. structure their own work and results in a coherent and systematic thesis, and to, on this basis, engage in discussion and formulate relevant research-based conclusions.

Oral examination based on the Bachelor thesis.
