Prerequisites
Bachelor Degree in Faroese. Other students with similar prerequisites can apply for individual course participation.
Purpose
Acquire theoretical knowledge about gender and literature as well as thorough insight into contemporary Nordic literature.
Content
Read selected novels in Faroese and other Scandinavian languages and analyse them applying literary and gender theory.
Learning and teaching approaches
Class teaching with students and teachers presentations.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is able to • present knowledge about contemporary literature • critically describe relevant concepts • analyse the novels using relevant concepts • point out relevant contexts
Assessment method
Oral examination, 30 min. The students will have two days preparing the answer to an assigned topic.
