Presentation of the award from the Novo Nordisk Foundation

On Thursday morning, 15 May at 09:00, a representative from the Novo Nordisk Foundation will present Ása Róin, Marin Strøm, and Anna Sofía Veyhe with a major award for excellence in health science teaching.

The public celebration will take place in Kongshøll at the University of the Faroe Islands on Vestara Bryggja in Tórshavn, and will last for about an hour, from 09:00 to 10:00.

Martin Tvede Zachariasen, Rector, and Magni Mohr, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, will also give short speeches.

Media representatives will have the opportunity to ask questions.

The announcement came in March that the three Associate Professors in Health Science at the University had been awarded a million-kroner prize from the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The total prize amounts to 1.5 million DKK and is awarded for their significant contributions to the academic environment in the field of health sciences in the Faroe Islands. Each recipient will receive 25,000 DKK personally, while the remainder will go to the University of the Faroe Islands to further develop teaching in health sciences.
