The annual Researchers’ Night event will be held at Sjóvinnuhúsið, Vestaru Bryggju 15, University of the Faroe Islands, on September 27th.

Researchers’ Night (Vísindavøka) in the Faroe Islands is part of the European Researchers’ Night, which takes place across Europe in September. It is organized by the Research Council Faroe Islands and various Faroese research institutes.

The aim of the event is to increase interest in research and scientific work within society.

The programme consists of short presentations from researchers across different academic fields, mostly delivered in Faroese. However, two presentations will be in English:

    09:20: "Small States in the International System" by Robert Imre, University of the Faroe Islands.

    13:20: "eDNA/eRNA Based Pathogen Detection in Water and Air" by Dhiraj Krishna, Faroese Food and Veterinary Authority.
