The Nordic-Baltic Sustainable Food Systems Network is hosting a public and free webinar on urgent water and energy issues related to the green transition of food systems.

Researchers from the University of the Faroe Islands are inviting you to a webinar on water and energy issues in connection with the green transition of the food system.

The webinar is titled “Critical Water and Energy Issues in the Green Transition of Nordic-Baltic Food Systems” and will take place on September 26 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Faroese time.

The registration deadline is September 24, and you can sign up here.

The program will feature two intriguing presentations by Martina Angela Caretta, a lecturer in human geography at Lund University in Sweden, and David C. Natcher, a professor of agriculture and resource economics at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada.

Following the presentations, there will be a discussion on water and energy issues related to food systems in the represented countries.

We hope that many with interest and knowledge on the subject in a Faroese context will join the discussion with their insights and thoughts.

The webinar is part of a two-year project funded by NKJ, titled “A Nordic-Baltic Framework for Sustainable Food Systems.”

Anna Sofía Veyhe, Durita Nielsen, and Elisabeth Skarðhamar Olsen represent the University of the Faroe Islands in the project.
