Peer Review

The Board of Faroe University Press decides whether a manuscript will be published. The Board considers both scientific value and impact and the financial soundness of a publication.

PhD and other doctoral theses or similar manuscripts that are peer reviewed may be accepted without further scientific evaluation by the publisher.

In other cases, the Board asks external experts to do an anonymous peer review in order to assess the academic level and whether the manuscript is ready to be published.

The journal Fróðskaparrit has an editorial board. The editorial board asks external experts to review articles.

Faroe University Press does not disclose to the authors or the public which experts have reviewed the manuscripts.
