Present projects
  • I work full-time for the Economic Council of the Faroe Islands. This means that next to no time will be left over for research. Yet, this position gives some opportunities for research in certain macro-economic issues

Overview

I have given lectures at many occasions, and I have presented many proceedings on international conferences. I do not have the number and neither a ready overview over these lectures. I think that the last lecture was for Torshavn Rotary Club in april 2017, and it was about the demographic outlook and the long-term fiscal sustainability of the Faroese econmy. Onca on a conference 2016, organized by the the Faroese association of elderly people, I spoke about the same subject. I have lectured on many different kinds of subjects. Once in 2010 I gave a lecture about “consciousness-based education” for the teachers at the business Academy in Torshavn.

Author of two bestselling books: Búskapur og politikkur – áttatiárini og framtíðin (economics and politics – the eighies and the future), Tórshavn 1990, 180 pages, og Villinistíggir upplýstir (paths of delusion enlightened), Torshavn 1008, 220 pages. Sold in 2000 and 3000 copies respectively.
