Parlamentariskt eftirlit

Við støði í Ph.D. verkætlan granski eg framhaldandi í parlamentariskum eftirliti.

Yvirskipaða evnið fyri míni Ph.D. ritgerð frá november 2018: “MP Firefighting: When do MPs hold government accountable?” er eftirlit við útøvandi sjórnarvaldi, ið er ein týdningarmikil partur av at tryggja ”accountability” í nýmótans politiskum skipanum. Hóast veljarin og valinstitutiónin hevur ein týdningarmiklan ”accountability” leiklut, so hevur veljarin ongar formligar eftirlitsmøguleikar í millum val. Í hesum tíðarskeiði hava parlamentir ein leiklut, serliga í skipanum við tingræði, har tað er parlamentið og ikki veljarin, sum gevur vald til stjórnina. Stjórnin stendur til svars yvir fyri parlamentinum. Tó er tað soleiðis, at í parlamentinum so standa tingfólk við væntanum frá tveimum ymiskum leiklutum: ”partapolitiska” og ”parlamentariska” leiklutin. Við hesi ritgerð fáa vit nýggja vitan um, hvussu tingfólk viga hesar báðar leiklutirnar, tá ið talan er um eftirlitsvirksemi í tinginum. Ritgerðin leggur dent á sonevnt ”Fire Alarm” eftirlit frá eftirlitsstovnum og á tørvin á ”Firefighting” frá tingfólki í parlamentinum.  

Politikkur í Arktisk

í mun til arbeiði við útbúgingini West Nordic Studies havi eg eisini eyga fyri politikki í Arktisk og hvussu tað ávirkar føroyskan politikki. Eg havi luttikið á ráðstevnum við granskingarískoyti í hesum sambandi.

Í hesum sambandi fekk eg í 2019 ferðastuðul til luttøku í Arctic Circle frá Ministry of Higher Education and Science, DK.

Demokrati og meðborgaraskapur

Eg havi eisini arbeitt nógv við evninum um demokratiska mentan og meðborgarskap, serliga við atliti at Føroyum. Eg havi útgivið vísindaliga grein um evnið og oftani greitt frá í fjølmiðlum um hetta evnið, og hvussu demokrati kann mátast.
